Housing and Defense Readiness

Inadequate housing supply is hindering efforts to expand the defense industrial base workforce and placing a drag on defense spending. For instance, the 2025 reconciliation bill included $2.9B for rising housing costs without addressing the housing shortages that lead to these increased costs.
